Triple-A: Omaha 9, Memphis 2

W: Luis Mendoza (2-3, 4.17)
HR: Lance Zawadzki (4)

Summary: Lance Zawadzki capped a five-run sixth inning outburst with a grand slam, sending the Storm Chasers on their way to a 9-2 victory over the Memphis Redbirds. With the win, Omaha earned a four-game split and heads home with a five-game lead in the Pacific Coast League's North Division. Luis Mendoza earned the win with seven strong innings in relief of starter Jeremy Jeffress, who exited after walking five batters in two innings of work. On offense, Mike Moustakas paced an 11-hit Omaha attack by finishing 3-for-5 with a double. Every starter except Clint Robinson recorded at least one hit, and Robinson made up for his 0-for-2 with three walks and two runs scored.

Other Notes: With a fifth inning double, Lorenzo Cain extended his hitting streak to 10 games while raising his season batting average to .304. The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .385/.455/.590 during the streak with five extra base hits and seven RBIs…After going just 2-for-20 in his first five games with the Storm Chasers, Jarrod Dyson has hit safely in his last six contests while batting .455 (10-for-22)…Mike Moustakas has three multi-hit games in his last four contests…Luis Mendoza's seven-inning outing was by far his lengthiest of the season. Over his last 11.1 innings, the 27-year-old right-hander has allowed just one earned run on seven hits while fanning seven and issuing just one walk.

Next Game: The first place Storm Chasers (28-23) now return home for a four-game set with the New Orleans Zephyrs (29-23). Jeff Suppan (4-4, 5.43) is slated to start the series opener for Omaha.

Double-A: Midland 4, NW Arkansas 2

L: Brandon Sisk (2-1, 4.24)
HR: None

Summary: The Naturals jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but those two runs were all they would get in a 4-2 loss to Midland on Monday. The offense banged out 11 hits and threatened all day, but the club failed to get the big hit. Derrick Robinson, Anthony Seratelli, and Jeff Bianchi all finished with two hits apiece. Buddy Baumann made his third start for the Naturals, settling for a no decision after pitching four innings while allowing two runs on three hits and a handful of walks. Brandon Sisk was tagged with the loss after allowing the decisive two runs to cross home in the bottom of the fifth.

Other Notes: Derrick Robinson is 7-for-12 (.583) over his last three games…Christian Colon's double was just his third two-bagger of the season. The 22-year-old shortstop has just six extra base hits in 162 at bats this year…Salvador Perez has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games…The two runs Brandon Sisk allowed in the fifth inning were the first he's surrendered since May 7, a stretch covering five appearances and 9.2 innings…With his fourth straight scoreless outing, Patrick Keating has allowed runs in just one of his last 14 appearances. During that stretch, the 23-year-old right-hander has posted a 1.80 ERA while fanning 19 batters and walking just three in 15.0 innings pitched.

Next Game: The Naturals (24-21) have Tuesday off before opening a three-game series at home against the Frisco RoughRiders (26-24). Will Smith (3-5, 4.63) is scheduled to start Wednesday's series opener for NW Arkansas.

High-A: Kinston 9, Wilmington 1

L: Tim Melville (5-5, 4.83)
HR: None

Summary: The Blue Rocks recorded just one hit while starter Tim Melville failed to get out of the fourth inning as Wilmington took a lopsided loss to Kinston on Monday, 9-1. Melville surrendered a season-worst eight runs, including five in the fourth inning while taking his fifth loss of the year. The sole offensive highlight for the Rocks came in the sixth inning, when Ray Navarro ripped an RBI triple to break up Kinston's shutout and no-hit bid. The Wilmington bullpen pitched well over the final four frames, but by then the game was already a laugher.

Other Notes: With their fourth straight loss, the Blue Rocks fell out of first place in the Carolina League's Northern Division for the first time since May 18, and they now trail Frederick by a half-game…Prior to Monday's stinker, Tim Melville had posted a 2.91 ERA over his previous four starts…Rey Navarro's six triples ties him for the Carolina League lead. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old infielder is just 2-for-15 over his last five games, seeing his batting average drop to .297…Yem Prades was held hitless for just the second time in eight games since joining the Blue Rocks.

Next Game: The Blue Rocks (28-21) continue their four-game series with the Indians (25-24) on Tuesday evening. The piggyback combination of Justin Marks (2-2, 5.48) and Tyler Sample (2-3, 2.84) is slated to pitch for Wilmington.

Low-A: Kane County 5, Wisconsin 4 (11 innings)

W: Matt Mitchell (3-1, 5.48)
HR: None

Summary: The Kane County Cougars exploded for four runs in the bottom of the 11th inning, erasing a three-run deficit en route to a 5-4 walk-off win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The two clubs combined for just two runs over the first 10 frames, but the Rattlers touched reliever Matt Mitchell for three tallies in the top of the 11th. After a two-run double by Orlando Calixte and an RBI single by Geulin Beltre, Jake Kuebler drew a walk with the bases loaded to end the game. Kane County starter Leondy Perez had to settle for another no decision after pitching brilliantly for the first six innings, allowing just one unearned run on one hit and three walks. Dusty Odenbach and Chase Boruff followed with four combined shutout innings before giving way to Mitchell, who was credited with his third win of the season despite surrendering three runs during his frame.

Other Notes: The Cougars have now won 14 of their last 19 games and are assured of finishing May with a winning record…After failing to get out of the first inning on April 26, Leondy Perez has now tossed six straight "quality" starts. During that stretch, the 21-year-old right-hander has posted a 1.64 ERA over 38.1 innings while fanning 35 batters and walking just eight…Chase Boruff has made seven straight appearances without allowing an earned run, a stretch covering 11.0 innings…Through his first nine games with the Cougars, third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert is hitting .314/.368/.543 with two home runs and seven RBIs…Ryan Stovall has hit safely in his last seven contests, but Monday's multi-hit effort was his first since May 12.

Next Game: The Cougars (23-28) now hit the road for a three-game series with the Lake County Captains (23-28). Leonel Santiago (4-4, 2.48) is scheduled to start for Kane County in Tuesday's series opener.
