Two key Cardinals system roster resources

The St. Louis Cardinals minor league team rosters open up a wealth of information about players at every level of the system while the Roster Matrix summarizes all organization players listed by level and position on one page.

With short-season action underway in the St. Louis Cardinals' minor league system, two sets of important reference materials have been refreshed.

For detailed profile information on every single one of 286 Cardinals players currently in the system, including the major league roster, simply check out their free player profiles freshly updated now here at The Cardinal

Start at the team pages for each level in the system, via "Minor League Rosters" on the center of the red bar underneath the site logo. Then click on an individual player name to be taken to his specific page.

There, you can see bios, photos, videos, articles, news items, links to current season and career stats and much more – everything you need to know about a player in one place – a unique and valuable capability. (Premium Article Some of these items are subscriber only.) You can also see rosters and player profiles for all prior Cardinals system players back to 2004.

The second resource is the St. Louis Cardinals system Roster Matrix, residing at The Cardinal Nation blog. The newly-posted version will reflect all transactions – major and minor league - from the start of the 2013 short-season (post draft) through the end of this season.

The matrix places each one of the 286 players at his assigned level in the system by position. You can also check on the status of all 41 players drafted by the Cardinals in 2013 there. This quick one-page reference document is updated daily or whenever transactions occur. Past Matrices are available back to 2009.

Nowhere else will you find this current and comprehensive single-page view of the entire Cardinals organization - today and yesterday.

Best of all, the team roster and player profile pages at The Cardinal Nation as well as the Roster Matrix at The Cardinal Nation blog are free.
