Due to a rainout for Wilmington and scheduled off-days for the O-Royals and Burlington Bees, only Wichita was in action on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the Wranglers lost to the Tulsa Drillers, 6-5. The Omaha Royals had the night off on Wednesday. They will return to action on Thursday, kicking off a four game series in New Orleans. Outfielder Billy Butler was optioned back to Omaha on Wednesday, and he should rejoin the O-Royals for their series against the Zephyrs. _________________________________________________________

Chris Lubanski reached the 10 game mark on his hitting streak, going 2-5 with a double and an RBI. On the season, Chris sports a .925 OPS, and a stellar BB/K ratio of 20/22. After 14 scoreless innings to start the season, reliever Jarod Plummer has allowed six runs in his last six innings. _________________________________________________________
The Wilmington Blue Rocks game was rained out on Wednesday. Since the Wilmington and Lynchburg do not meet again in the first half, the game will not be rescheduled. _________________________________________________________
The Burlington Bees did not play on Wednesday. The Bees return home with a 15-21 record on Thursday to take on South Bend. |
