Only Burlington managed to win on Sunday, avoiding the organizational sweep with a 13-6 win over Kane County. Both Joe Dickerson and Derrick Robinson reached base six times for Burlington, which salvaged the final game of their three game set. RC recaps the rest of the day's minor league action inside in today's minor league report.

The O-Royals saw their record fall to 33-37 on Sunday night, with a 4-2 loss to Nashville. The offense was nonexistent for most of the game, but Craig Brazell hit his 16th home run as a member of the O-Royals to provide the lone spark to the offense. LHP Tyler Lumsden (5-4, 5.18) will get the start tomorrow afternoon to finish off the series in Nashville.

Much like Omaha, the Wichita offense wasn't there on Sunday, as the Wranglers got smoked, 12-0. Michael Connolly gave up five unearned runs, all five being caused by four errors (no typo) by shortstop Valentino Arce. Chris Lubanski returned to the field after serving as the DH on Saturday, and he went 2-for-4 with two strikeouts. Lubanski still sports an impressive walk to strikeout ratio, currently at 26/35.

Wilmington finished out their season's first half with a loss at home against Winston-Salem, 5-2. The offense floundered and only scratched out two hits, although they did draw six walks. Daniel Cortes returned to the mound and went two innings in his return, allowing two runs on only one hit, but he did walk two and uncork a wild pitch. Jason Godin pitched very well for three innings in the middle of the game, allowing only an unearned run and one hit, and this was by far his best outing since joining the Blue Rocks. The Carolina League All-Star game takes place on Tuesday, and Wilmington will start the second half of the season on Thursday.

The Burlington Bees helped avoid the organizational sweep, as the offense exploded to a 13-6 victory. Derrick Robinson set the table with a huge day at the plate, going 5-for-6 with a double and a triple, and the time he was not credited with a hit, he reached base on a fielding error. Robinson also stole two bases on the day, bringing his season total to 15. Joseph Dickerson chipped in with a 3-for-3 day, while drawing a couple walks and being hit by a pitch. Dickerson now has a seven-game hitting streak going, and is batting .448 during that stretch.
