The organization had a good day on Sunday, as the six clubs in action combined to go 4-2. Outfielder David Lough marked his return to the B-Royals lineup with a big night, including a home run, and the Arizona Royals won a close one thanks to some late-inning heroics by catcher Sean McCauley. RC recaps the rest of the day's action inside in today's minor league report.

The Omaha Royals were torched 13-2 by Iowa on Sunday afternoon. Luke Hochevar made his debut for the O-Royals, and was less than stellar. Hochevar allowed five hits, three of which were home runs, and five runs in five innings. However, he did strike out seven. The game soon became a blowout though when relievers Nate Hoelscher and Thad Markray allowed eight runs in four combined innings. Omaha had 13 runners reach base, but only two came across to score.

Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth, catcher Sean McCauley drove a double into deep center to drive in two runs that proved to be the game winner. Blake Wood, continuing his rehab, tossed the first 3.2 innings of the game and allowed two runs (both unearned) while striking out five. Michael Lehmann picked him up nicely, allowing one run over his four innings of work. Despite owning a respectable 4.15 ERA, Lehmann has walked 15 in only 13 innings, and his WHIP is well over 2.00.
