Low-A: Cedar Rapids 7, Burlington 1 (Game 1)

| Daniel Gutierrez (L, 1-2) | 3.0 | 7 | 6 | 6 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 7.36 |

The Burlington Bees forgot to wake up for game one of their doubleheader, as they lost, 7-1. Daniel Gutierrez was particularly sleepy, allowing six runs on seven hits in only three innings. The offense didn't churn out much either, as an RBI single by Jase Turner provided the only run for the Bees.
Cedar Rapids 2, Burlington 1 (Game 2, 8 innings)
L: Aaron Hartsock (6-4, 2.69)
| Player | AB | R | H | 2B | 3B | HR | RBI | BB | K | AVG |

|---|
| Aaron Hartsock (L, 6-4) | 2.0 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 2.69 |
|---|
Game two of the doubleheader was much more competitive, but the Burlington Bees ended up falling 2-1 in extra innings. Everett Teaford allowed only an unearned run in his five innings of work, and Aaron Hartsock tossed two scoreless innings to get through the first seven. However, he served up a gopher ball to the first batter in the bottom of the eighth to give Cedar Rapids the win. The Bees outhit the Kernals 11-to-3, but only managed to push across a single run in the first inning. _________________________________________________________

The Burlington Royals pulled out a close win on Thursday, 4-3. It was Alwin Perez's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning that gave the B-Royals the lead, and ultimately the win. Patrick Norris went 2-for-4 with his league leading 29th stolen base of the season. Brett Amyx also had two hits, including an RBI double in the first inning. _________________________________________________________
R: Athletics 3, Royals 1
L: Williams Farinas (1-3, 3.91)
| Player | IP | H | R | ER | BB | K | HR | ERA |
|---|
| Williams Farinas (L, 1-3) | 4.0 | 6 | 3 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 3.91 |
|---|
| Matthew Mitchell | 4.0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 6 | 0 | 1.94 |
|---|
The AZL Royals fell to the Athletics, 3-1. Righty Williams Farinas started for the Royals, and after allowing three runs in the first, was solid for the next three innings. Unfortunately, the Royals’ offense didn't put anything together besides a single run in the ninth, so Farinas was saddled with the loss. Matthew Mitchell continued his dominating run through the Arizona League, tossing four hitless innings and striking out six.
