Since being acquired by the Royals in the Mike MacDougal trade, Daniel Cortes has filled out physically and added several ticks to his fastball. After an outstanding 2007 campaign with Wilmington, Cortes found himself listed among the best pitching prospects in baseball. On Monday afternoon, Cortes spoke with RC about his progress, his 2007 season, and his goals for this year.
