On Tuesday evening, the Royals made former Mizzou pitcher Aaron Crow their first round selection in the 2009 draft. After selecting high school catcher Wil Myers in the third round, the Royals used their next five picks on college pitchers, breaking from their recent draft strategy of selecting high school pitchers in the early rounds.
