AA: NW Arkansas 4, Tulsa 1
W: Louis Coleman (1-0, 2.29)
Mario Santiago and Louis Coleman combined to hold Tulsa to one run in the Naturals’ 4-1 victory over the Drillers. Santiago threw six innings, allowing one run on six hits. Coleman then threw three perfect innings, striking out three batters in the process, to earn his first victory of the year.
The Naturals’ offense struggled against the Rockies’ rehabbing starter Jeff Francis but scored four runs in the eighth once he was pulled. Clint Robinson and Kurt Metins both went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Ernesto Meija and Johnny Giavotella finished 2-for-4. Mike Moustakas was 0-for-3, but he did drive in a run with a sacrifice fly.
