AA: Springfield 10, NW Arkansas 9
L: Mike Montgomery (2-1, 2.45)
HR: Mike Moustakas (7), Clint Robinson (4)
Mike Montgomery suffered his first loss as Natural, only throwing three innings, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk. The lefthander recorded one strikeout and was pulled after a 35-minute rain delay. Rowdy Hardy was shelled in relief of Montgomery, allowing six runs on six hits in three innings.
The Naturals’ offense was productive, however, as every starter reached base safely at least once. Mike Moustakas went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, his seventh dinger of the year. Clint Robinson added his fourth home run, and Derrick Robinson went 2-for-4 with a double.
The loss was the Naturals’ fourth in a row to the Cardinals, who swept the four-game series and now trail NW Arkansas by just 1.5 games in the North Division. The Naturals return home Monday to begin a four-game series against the Tulsa Drillers.

High-A: Potomac 7, Wilmington 6
L: Barry Bowden (1-2, 2.12)
Barry Bowden blew his third save of the year, allowing two runs in the ninth in Wilmington's 7-6 loss to the Potomac Nationals. Tim Melville was in line for his second win of the year after throwing 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits while punching out five batters.
On offense, Patrick Norris swung the bat well, going 2-for-4 with two doubles. Rey Navarro and Eddie Prasch each hit a double, but Eric Hosmer had an uncharacteristically rough game, going 0-for-5 with a strikeout.
The Blue Rocks continue their road trip on Monday, when they kick off a four-game series against the Lynchburg Hillcats.
