Editor’s Note: The Omaha Royals were off on Wednesday
AA: NW Arkansas 1, Tulsa 0
W: Everett Teaford (4-2, 5.08)
Three Naturals pitchers combined for a shutout, leading NW Arkansas to a 1-0 victory over the Drillers. Edgar Osuna threw the first five innings, allowing just three hits while striking out four batters. He was pulled after a long rain delay, but Everett Teaford and Brandon Sisk combined to hold the Drillers scoreless on one hit over the final four innings.
On offense, Mike Moustakas continues to swing a hot bat, going 2-for-4, his fourth consecutive multi-hit game. Chris McConnell drove in the game’s only run with a bunt single in the seventh, which scored Manny Pina.
The first place Naturals, winners of three straight, go for the sweep of Tulsa Thursday night.

High-A: Wilmington 8, Lynchburg 2
W: Alex Caldera (3-2, 2.89)
HR: Patrick Norris (1), Salvador Perez (3)
The Blue Rocks swung the bat well Wednesday, as every starter recorded a hit in the club’s 8-2 victory over the Hillcats. Fernando Garcia led Wilmington with three hits, while Patrick Norris and Salvador Perez both slugged home runs. Eddie Prash went 2-for-4, and Eric Hosmer went 2-for-5 with a double.
Alex Caldera pitched six strong innings, surrendering just four hits and one unearned run, which scored after shortstop Rey Navarro committed his first error of the season in the second inning. The righthander struck out three batters while walking none. A pair of relievers closed out the final three frames, limiting the Hillcats to just one more run on three hits and a walk.
The Blue Rocks wrap up their four-game series against the Hillcats Thursday night.
