Editor’s note: Wilmington’s game against Winston-Salem was suspended in the fourth inning with the Blue Rocks leading, 6-0. The game will be resumed at some point this weekend when the Dash visit Frawley Stadium.
AAA: Omaha 2, Nashville 1
W: Anthony Lerew (5-3, 2.84)
Anthony Lerew pitched a gem, only allowing one run on three hits in seven innings as the O-Royals beat the Sounds, 2-1. Lerew did a good job keeping the hitters off balance, forcing 12 groundouts and striking out two batters. Greg Holland, John Parrish, and Josh Rupe no-hit Nashville over the final two innings, with Rupe earning his first save of the season.
At the plate, Kila Ka'aihue went 2-for-4, and Rick Ankiel smacked an RBI-double. Kurt Mertins drove in the other Omaha run with a two-out single, while Alex Gordon and Marc Maddox both collected singles and scored a run.
Omaha now departs on a 17-game road trip, thanks to the College World Series, which takes place at Rosenblatt Stadium. The O-Royals will kick off the journey with a four-game series against the Albuquerque Isotopes.

Low-A: Lansing 3, Burlington 2
L: Ryan Dennick (1-3, 5.54)
HR: Joey Lewis (6), Carlo Testa (5)
Bryan Paukovits took a no hitter into the seventh inning but walked away with a no-decision as the Bees lost to the Lugnuts, 3-2. The right-hander pitched seven innings, only allowing one run and one hit while punching out six batters. Ryan Dennick relieved Paukovits and was only able to record one out before walking two batters and being removed for Rodolfo Encarnacion. Encarnacion allowed both runs to cross home plate, and Burlington could not recover.
At the plate, Joey Lewis and Carlo Testa both went 2-for-4, each going yard for the Bees. The offense struggled, as Rene Oriental and Hilton Richardson were the only other Burlington hitters to reach base.
The Bees start a three-game series against the Peoria Chiefs Monday night.
