Gaby Hernandez was battered Sunday, allowing eight runs in 5.1 innings in Omaha's 9-3 loss to Oklahoma City. Hernandez allowed 12 hits, including three two-run dingers and one solo shot. At the plate, Scott Thorman had three hits, including a double, and Kila Ka'aihue went yard for his 14th home run of the season, driving in two runs. Alex Gordon finished 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Omaha plays the third game of their four-game series against Oklahoma City Monday night.

Starting pitcher Eduardo Paulino surrendered single runs in the first two frames but settled down after that. He allowed just the two runs on four hits in 7.0 innings of work.

Eric Hosmer went 1-for-3 with a walk but was ejected in the eighth inning for arguing after he was called out on strikes.

Seth Furmanek went 3-for-3 with two home runs, while Ryan Stovall was 3-for-5 with two doubles and a homer. Alex McClure went 3-for-5 with a pair of two-base hits, and Alex Llanos finished 2-for-5. Crawford Simmons pitched the first four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, but Danny Hernandez earned the victory by pitching a scoreless fifth.
