Lucas was 3-for-4 with two home runs on Tuesday

The Burlington Bees were rained out on Tuesday, but the rest of the organization had an excellent day. Five of the six clubs in action won their games. Ed Lucas slammed two homers and a double in the O-Royals' win over New Orleans, while Chris Dwyer won his Double-A debut with five shutout innings against Corpus Christi. Ed Lucas had three hits, including two home runs, helping to lead the O-Royals past the Zephyrs, 7-2. Manny Pina also had three hits, including hit his first home run in Triple-A, while Irving Falu had a multi-hit game. Bryan Bullington threw 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five. Blaine Hardy, Louis Coleman, and Josh Rupe were perfect over the final 2.2 innings to end the game.

Omaha wraps up its series against New Orleans Wednesday.

Chris Dwyer pitched well in his first start for the Naturals, shutting out the Hooks for five innings as NW Arkansas went on to defeat Corpus Christi, 7-1. The left-hander allowed three hits and two walks while punching out four batters. Dwyer was relieved by Chris Chavez, who allowed one run over 2.2 innings. He was followed by Ben Swaggerty, who was perfect over the final four outs. On offense, both Derrick Robinson and Ernesto Mejia had three hits, while Johnny Giavotella had two. Clint Robinson went deep, Ben Theriot smacked a triple, and Mike Moustakas connected on a double for the Naturals.

NW Arkansas has an off-day Wednesday before hitting the road to face the San Antonio Missions.

Ivor Hodgson and the Wilmington bullpen shut out the Potomac Nationals, leading the Blue Rocks to a 2-0 victory. Hodgson threw the first six innings, allowing five hits while striking out two. He was followed by Brendan Lafferty, who allowed two hits over the next two frames. Barry Bowden tossed a hitless ninth to earn his seventh save of the season. At the plate, Eric Hosmer collected three hits, while Fernando Garcia and Rey Navarro each had two hits. Navarro, Wil Myers, Jamie Romak and Jarrod Dyson each contributed a double.

The Blue Rocks continue their road trip Wednesday when they face the Lynchburg Hillcats.

Danny Duffy made his first start for the Chukars Tuesday, throwing two scoreless innings in Idaho Falls' 2-1 victory over the Casper Ghosts. He was relieved by Greg Billo, who earned the victory for throwing five shutout innings, allowing four hits while ringing up four. Jason Mitchell allowed a run to score in the eighth, but Alexander Rivers forced a groundout and recorded two strikeouts in the ninth to log his first save of the season. On offense, Geulin Beltre mashed a solo home run, while Jacob Kuebler cracked a double.

The Chukars play their series finale against Casper Wednesday night.

Gates Dooley was rocked Tuesday, allowing six runs on six hits in just 3.2 innings as the Burlington Royals were routed by the Elizabethton Twins, 10-3. Dooley was followed by Justin Mazur, who allowed three runs on four hits in 2.1 innings. Cole Lohden followed and allowed a run to score in the seventh. On offense, Ryan Stovall went 3-for-5 with a double, and Alex McClure also had a multi-hit game, including a double.

The Burlington Royals will travel on Wednesday to face the Danville Braves.

Cheslor Cuthbert slammed a triple and a home run, powering the AZL Royals past the AZL Indians, 9-2. Darian Sandford also had two hits, while Henry Moreno hit his seventh double on the season. Brian Anderson started the game, tossing a perfect first, before being relieved by Jonathan Rodriguez, who allowed one run and two hits over four innings. Rudy Brown followed Rodriguez and allowed one run on two hits over three innings, while Kyle Kriech pitched a scoreless ninth.

The AZL Royals have Wednesday off before facing the AZL Brewers.
