Ed Lucas had three hits, including two home runs, helping to lead the O-Royals past the Zephyrs, 7-2. Manny Pina also had three hits, including hit his first home run in Triple-A, while Irving Falu had a multi-hit game. Bryan Bullington threw 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five. Blaine Hardy, Louis Coleman, and Josh Rupe were perfect over the final 2.2 innings to end the game.

Chris Dwyer pitched well in his first start for the Naturals, shutting out the Hooks for five innings as NW Arkansas went on to defeat Corpus Christi, 7-1. The left-hander allowed three hits and two walks while punching out four batters. Dwyer was relieved by Chris Chavez, who allowed one run over 2.2 innings. He was followed by Ben Swaggerty, who was perfect over the final four outs. On offense, both Derrick Robinson and Ernesto Mejia had three hits, while Johnny Giavotella had two. Clint Robinson went deep, Ben Theriot smacked a triple, and Mike Moustakas connected on a double for the Naturals.
NW Arkansas has an off-day Wednesday before hitting the road to face the San Antonio Missions.

He was followed by Brendan Lafferty, who allowed two hits over the next two frames. Barry Bowden tossed a hitless ninth to earn his seventh save of the season. At the plate, Eric Hosmer collected three hits, while Fernando Garcia and Rey Navarro each had two hits. Navarro, Wil Myers, Jamie Romak and Jarrod Dyson each contributed a double.

Jason Mitchell allowed a run to score in the eighth, but Alexander Rivers forced a groundout and recorded two strikeouts in the ninth to log his first save of the season. On offense, Geulin Beltre mashed a solo home run, while Jacob Kuebler cracked a double.
