Gil Meche was rocked in his Triple-A rehab start as the O-Royals fell to the Zephyrs, 9-6. Meche allowed seven runs on eight hits over four innings before being relieved by Devon Lowery, who shut out the Zephyrs for the next three innings. Louis Coleman gave up two runs on three hits over the final two frames. On offense, Marc Maddox went 3-for-4 for a double, while Kila Ka'aihue and Jai Miller both had two hits. Ka'aihue smashed his team-leading 22nd home run of the season.
Omaha travels to Nashville Tuesday to square off against the Sounds.
High-A: Potomac 10, Wilmington 1
L: John Lamb (6-3, 1.45)
John Lamb had his shortest outing as a Blue Rock, leaving the game after four innings as Wilmington lost 10-1 to the Potomac Nationals. The left-hander gave up two runs on seven hits while fanning five before he was lifted for James Thompson, who allowed seven runs on eight hits in three innings, putting the game out of reach. After the game, Lamb reportedly learned that he will be promoted to Double-A in time for his next start. On offense, Nick Francis and Ernesto Mejia had multi-hit games, while Christian Colon cracked a double.
The Blue Rocks continue their series against the Nationals Tuesday night.
Low-A: Fort Wayne 6, Burlington 1
L: Matt Mitchell (1-7, 5.86)
The Bees were unable to capitalize on offense, going hitless in seven at bats with runners in scoring position as they were defeated by the TinCaps, 6-1. Gerard Hall finished 2-for-4 with a double, while Deivy Batista added a double. Matt Mitchell gave up six runs, two hits, and five walks before Starling De La Rosa pitched 3.1 shutout innings in relief. Rodolfo Encarnacion, Onassis Sirrett, Brandon Barrow each tossed a scoreless frame in relief.
Burlington has an off-day Tuesday before facing off against Beloit Snappers.

L: Santiago Garrido (1-3, 6.21)
Two errors led to four unearned runs in the Chukars' 6-4 loss to the Voyagers. Santiago Garrido pitched the first five innings, allowing six runs and six hits before Brennon Martin threw three scoreless innings in relief. At the plate, Cheslor Cuthbert and Yowill Espinal each had two hits, and Tim Ferguson added a double.
Idaho Falls plays its series finale against Great Falls Tuesday night.

L: Willian Avinazar (3-1, 2.19)
Willian Avinazar was hit hard Monday, allowing five runs on seven hits in 3.1 innings, as the Burlington Royals fell to the Johnson City Cardinals, 5-1. Cole Lohden, Chas Byrne, and Josh Worrell held the Cardinals scoreless over the final 6.1 innings. On offense, Ryan Stovall had a multi-hit game, while Luis Piterson roped a double.
Burlington plays the second game of its series against Johnson City Tuesday.
Rookie: AZL Royals 3, AZL Athletics 0
W: Allen Caldwell (1-1, 5.79)
Three AZL Royals pitchers combined to shut out the AZL Athletics, 3-0. Eric Diaz and Allen Caldwell pitched the first four innings, allowing one hit while ringing up seven batters. Jorge Soto allowed three hits over the final five frames, striking out three batters. At the plate, Victor Soto and Jose Rodriguez had two hits, while Mike Antonio legged out a triple.
The AZL Royals have Tuesday off before facing the AZL Brewers Wednesday.
