Breaking Down the Top-50

The post-2012 Top-50 prospect breakdowns were completed early this month at SeattleClubhouse. This post gives you a breakdown from a positional standpoint and minor league affiliate standpoint.

In our 10-part breakdown of the Top-50 prospects in the Seattle Mariners organization, SeattleClubhouse gave you a detailed look at 50 of the best and brightest prospects in the system. This post is a quick glance at the composition of those rankings, showing the makeup of that list both in terms of (current) defensive positions and end-of-year 2012 level. Everyone knows about where top prospects Taijuan Walker, Mike Zunino, Danny Hultzen, Nick Franklin and James Paxton are on the diamond and in the system, but this chart breaks down all 50 players on our list.

This list can also serve as a cross-reference for the positional depth charts, which we will be completing near the end of Spring Training, showing just where on the pecking order certain prospects that you are tracking rank for us in the system.

Subscribers can still access the complete Top-50 list at the links below and non-subscribers can access the two reports marked FREE which cover 10 of those prospects.
