Contreras Transitioning to Rotation

Over the last year Carlos Contreras came from off the radar to a spot on the Reds 40-man roster after a solid season as a single-A closer. Now he's continuing that success in Bakersfield's starting rotation.

Bakersfield entered the win column for only the second time this season after a 5-1 decision over visiting Inland Empire. Carlos Contreras got the win after allowing only one run on two hits and a couple of walks over six innings with eight strikeouts.
